Holiday Book Report
The students will be completing a Holiday Gift Book Report in December. For this report any genre is fine. All books need to be approved by me by Tuesday, November 22nd.. Instructions will follow. Reports are due by Wednesday, December 18th. They can be brought in anytime starting December 3rd . Students will present their report to the class.
The idea is to complete the required report elements and then choose a gift you think the main character or your favorite character would enjoy. Students can put the actual gift in the box or they can draw or cut out a picture of the gift. Please sign and return the bottom portion of this letter by Friday, November 22nd.
Ø Choose a chapter book at your level that you will enjoy.
Ø Share your choice with your parents.
Ø Get approval of your book from Mrs. Campbell by Monday, November 19th.
Ø Read and enjoy your chapter book.
Ø Upon completion of your book complete the attached cards.
Ø Wrap a box, top and bottom separately, with holiday paper. The box can vary in size, but it should be easily managed. A shoebox or shirt box would be perfect.
Ø Attach each card to a side of the box.
Ø The picture of your favorite part should be attached to the bottom of the gift.
Ø Choose a gift you think the main character or your favorite character would enjoy.
Ø Put the actual gift in the box or you can draw or cut out a picture of the gift to put in the box.
Ø Make sure your name is on your Holiday Gift Book Report.
Ø Gift Reports must be turned in by Wednesday, December 18th. No late reports will be accepted!
Student CANNOT choose to do The Sign of the Beaver. It must be a book they are reading on their own for AR points!
